My experience in military service, government leadership, business, housing, mental health, Veteran advocacy, youth development, and disability inclusion has prepared me to understand the whole person and deliver practical, measurable solutions for Texas House District 124.
Proven Leadership and Public Service
Military Leadership and National Service: As a retired United States Air Force Veteran with multiple deployments, I bring discipline, strategic thinking, accountability, teamwork, and the ability to lead under pressure.
Government Leadership and Constituent Advocacy: As a retired Department of Veterans Affairs Servant Leader and former supervisor of the Office of Patient Advocacy, I understand government systems. I know how to help people navigate those systems, resolve problems, protect their rights, and hold agencies accountable.
Education and Organizational Leadership: My Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Marketing strengthened my skills in organizational leadership, strategic planning, communication, budgeting, and program development. My Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepared me to understand trauma, human behavior, crisis intervention, and the challenges affecting individuals and families.
Economic Opportunity and Community Stability
Business and Economic Development: As an entrepreneur and owner of multiple businesses, I understand budgeting, staffing, regulations, customer service, job creation, and the daily challenges confronting small-business owners.
Housing and Homeownership: As a Texas-Licensed Real Estate Broker and firm owner, I understand contracts, property management, housing affordability, neighborhood development, and the importance of protecting property rights while creating responsible pathways to homeownership.
Veteran Entrepreneurship: As Co-Founder of the Texas Veteran Two-Step Program, I have helped more than 300 Veterans establish and strengthen their businesses during the past two and a half years. I also facilitated a government-contracting event that connected Veteran entrepreneurs with state and federal agencies, resources, and contracting opportunities.
Mental Health and Whole-Person Support
Mental Health and Crisis Response: My clinical mental-health education allows me to understand trauma, grief, family stress, behavioral health, crisis intervention, and the urgent need for accessible and affordable mental-health services.
Whole-Person Wellness and End-of-Life Care: Through my wellness and end-of-life services, I support individuals and families facing serious illness, declining health, grief, and difficult decisions with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Support for the Motherless and Grieving: Through my nonprofit work, I provide a nurturing and consistent presence for people navigating life without a mother. I help them process grief, overcome tragedy, celebrate their successes, and continue moving forward.
Youth, Families, and Future Generations
Youth Development and Financial Literacy: Through my nonprofit work, I teach young women ages 12–25 practical skills in budgeting, saving, investing, résumé preparation, college readiness, homeownership, and responsible decision-making. My goal is to help them become confident, prepared, and self-sufficient adults.
Family and Community Leadership: As a wife of nearly 30 years, a mother of six, a grandmother of nine, and a longtime community servant, I understand the sacrifices, financial pressures, responsibilities, and hopes of working families.
Disability Advocacy and Resilience
As a 100% disabled Veteran who is deaf and legally blind, I understand accessibility barriers firsthand. I do not speak about resilience as a theory—I live it every day. I refuse to allow disability to make me invisible, silence my voice, or limit my ability to serve others.

I bring more than credentials. I bring proven leadership, lived experience, compassion, courage, and an understanding of how government decisions affect real people.
I see the Veteran trying to navigate a complicated system, the caregiver carrying an overwhelming responsibility, the grieving family searching for support, the small-business owner struggling to remain open, the young person searching for direction, the family working toward homeownership, and the person with a disability fighting to be seen and heard.
That is the leadership I offer District 124—leadership that listens to the people, understands the problem, takes action, measures the results, and remains accountable to the community.
